Japanese wireless carrier NTT DOCOMO officially confirmed that the Sony Xperia AX smartphone will become available for pre-order on its network on November 1.

The wireless services provider also announced that the new device will be put up for sale starting with November 16, but it did not offer info on the price tag it will feature, XperiaBlog reports.

Sony Xperia AX (SO-01E) was announced as NTT DOCOMO’s flavor of Xperia V, and will be launched in Japan on the airwaves of KDDI as well later this week, as the Xperia VL (SOL21).

Xperia AX arrives on shelves with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, a 13MP photo snapper on the back, front camera for video calling, and Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich loaded on it.
