Owners of Xperia Z2 and Xperia V smartphones out there are currently seeing new software updates being deployed on their devices, which should provide them with a better overall experience.

The Sony Xperia Z2 is currently receiving firmware version 17.1.1.A.0.438, which has been approved for it not long ago.

As part of the new release, they will enjoy updated baseband, along with faster tap to wake response, a recent post on XperiaBlog reads.

The new software update is being pushed in stages, which means that some of you might have to wait for a couple of days or longer for it to arrive.

As for Sony Xperia V (LT25i), the handset is currently receiving its own firmware version 9.2.A.2.5 over the air, it seems.

The update is said to bring along a better overall user experience, along with better battery life and a series of enhancements to the phone’s performance capabilities.

The new software release is based on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, it seems, and some of those who have already downloaded and installed it claim that the camera appears to be taking a bit longer to load.

Users should receive a notification on their smartphones as soon as the update is available for download, but they can also go to Settings > About phone > Software updates to manually check on its availability.
