Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has made available for download a new flavor of the What’s New application for the owners of Xperia devices, namely version 1.2.A.0.2.

The new release comes with a nice range of enhancements over the previously available build number, 1.1.A.0.0, and should provide users with a much better experience than before.

According to a recent post on XperiaBlog, the updated application release brings a refreshed design for the detailed view, which should result in much improved discovery.

Moreover, the new iteration comes with price and platform information around PlayStation content, it seems.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the mobile client has been designed so as to recommend content from Sony, so that users can easily stay on top of new music, films, apps, and games available through the aforementioned platform.

However, you might also want to keep in mind that Sony has recently announced that it has ended support for the PlayStation Mobile app on Android 4.4.3 and newer devices. The company will keep the service alive on Android 4.4.2 KitKat devices, it seems.

The new What's New application version is already rolling out to Xperia handsets out there, and users will receive a notification on its availability.
