14 DAY TRIAL // Following the release of Ice Cream Sandwich for its Xperia S handsets, Sony Mobile announced the availability of the source code of that platform.
The files are currently available for download through Sony Mobile’s own website, tagged “Open source download for Xperia S (Ice Cream Sandwich); software version 6.1.A.0.452.”
Those who are interested in coming up with their own ROMs for the mobile phone can now head over to the aforementioned website and download the source code for that.
The files will also allow third-party developers to play with the kernel a bit, XperiaBlog suggests.
