Sony’s smartphone business isn't doing all that well, although the company is trying to do its best to satisfy the needs of the customers.

In recent days, Sony rolled out the Xperia A4 mid-ranger in Japan, a pretty capable phone with an advanced 20.7MP main camera.

The company also launched the Xperia Z4 flagship, which will also be sold only on the Japanese market, but rumor has it that the company will offer a different top-tier phone on the international market soon enough.

Well, it appears the Japanese device maker also has plans for another phone. Twitter account @upleaks has just posted an image of a handset dubbed “Sony Lavander,” which shows a phone with a super-narrow bezel.

Apart from that, though, we’re not really given any insight on what the phone might bundle in terms of internal specifications. Visible in the image is a front-facing LED flash, similar to what we can see on the Xperia A4 Sony has announced recently.

Could this be an upcoming premium Sony device? The front does resemble the recently announced LeTV smartphone which comes with pretty high-end specifications, but we can’t say for sure at this point.

However, with rumors saying that the Sony Xperia Z5 will pack a new design language, could it be possible that we’re looking at the successor of the Xperia Z4?
