Snapchat, one of the most popular instant messenger for mobile devices, has just received a small update that brings a few new features and improvements.

The first one is the option to send snaps from Discover to friends by simply press and hold on that Snap. This nifty little feature wasn't available in previous versions of Snapchat because Discover is a relatively new function.

With Discovers, you can check out content from many prestigious magazines and publications, including National Geographic and CNN.

Furthermore, developers introduced a new option that allows Snapchat users to zoom videos. With the latest version of the application Android users will be able to drag a finger across the screen to zoom, while recording a Snap.

Hopefully, both these new feature implemented by Snapchat into its Android application will work smoothly for all users.

As always, keep in mind that even though Snaps, Chats and Stories are deleted from Snapchat's servers after they expire, developers can't prevent recipients from capturing and saving the message by taking a screenshot or using an image capture device.

That being said, you can now download Snapchat for Android 9.7 for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
