Skype has just updated their Android application with lots of goodies for those who own tablets powered by Google's mobile platform.

According to developers, the latest version of Skype for Android features a fresh design for tablets, as well as improved audio quality.

Furthermore, Skype users will now be able to sign in and merge with their Microsoft accounts. Last but not least, a fair share of bug fixes have been included in this update as well, though Skype has yet to offer any additional details.

Skype 3.0.0.6181 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.

Keep in mind that some devices powered by Android 2.2 will only be able to use the rear camera, due to Android restrictions.
