The slate is powered by Android 4.0 ICS and packs a 1.2GHz CPU

Indian company Simmtronics quietly launched another affordable Android tablet, the XPAD X1010. The slate is now available for purchase via major retailers across the country for Rs 8,449 (155/€115).

AndroidOS reports Simmtronics has partnered with several public Wi-Fi hotspot providers in order to offer free access to those who purchase the tablet at 5000 locations including Cafe Coffee Day, SUBWAY, McDonalds, Cocoberry and more.

The XPAD X1010 ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and packs a 1.2GHz single-core processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The slate also sports a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5600 mAh Li-Ion battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, support for 3G via dongle and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
