Shazam, the famous music service that allows users to identify the music and media playing around them, has just received a small but important update on Android platform.

It appears that with the latest version of Shazam users will be able to connect with Rdio to listen to their Shazam track as an Rdio playlist.

Aside from that, developers have also confirmed that some minor bug fixes have been included as well, but not additional details have been provided.

Keep in mind that Shazam for Android is ad supported, so if you want to remove the ads, you will have to upgrade to Shazam Encore. In order to use the application, you will need Internet connection.

You can now download Shazam for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.1 and up.
