Sharp is a Japanese company that has brought forth some interesting looking smartphone models. Sadly, most of them are available for pickup exclusively on the Japanese market, but it never hurts to take a sneak peek into that enigmatic part of the world.

Sharp has already rolled two new models for 2015: a regular smartphone model and, interestingly enough, a flip phone.

The first is the Aquos mini SHV31, which takes advantage of very narrow top bezel, allowing the handset to boast a high screen-to-body ratio.

The mini handset comes equipped with a 4.5-inch display with 1080p resolution and 487ppi. On the inside lies a Snapdragon 801 chipset and a 13MP camera residing on the back.

The smartphone relies on Sharp’s own IGZO technology, which means the device will be able to offer up to three days of work time, despite having a 2120 mAh battery. Last but not least, the handset is also waterproof.

Sharp seems to have gotten nostalgic with the second handset, the Aquos K. The flip phone is quite slim and is outfitted with a 13MP main camera which is capable of 1080p video.

Aquos K relies on a sensing trackpad for allowing navigation and its interface looks akin to Android. Take a look at the gallery to see if the newest Sharp handsets appeal to you.
