Samsung has been confirmed to announce its proprietary Tizen OS 3.0 next week in Seoul. The new mobile platform, developed along with Intel, will be introduced on November 11 during a developer conference held in South Korea.

SamMobile reports that the information has been recently confirmed via Rbmen and that Samsung has also stated that it will not release any Tizen-based smartphones or tablets this year.

Although we’ve seen quite a few handsets running different versions of the operating system, it appears that Samsung doesn’t think Tizen is ready to take on Windows Phone, iOS, Android and BlackBerry platforms.

Soon after Tizen OS 3.0’s reveal in Seoul, South Korea, Samsung is expected to demo the platform in the UK as well. The handset maker confirmed about a week ago that its annual European developer conference would take place in London. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
