South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is expected to make its first Tizen-based smartphones official later this summer, and it seems that there will be some good news for enthusiasts when that happens.

Among the features that the company will announce for the Tizen OS, support from the Unity multi-platform engine is expected, which should make mobile gamers quite happy.

Apparently, Unity believes that the upcoming mobile OS will prove a great opportunity for developers to expand the reach of their software.

Unity is already working on Tizen-tailored tools, gamasutra reports, and should have them ready for deployment soon after Samsung’s smartphones running under the OS reach stores.

Furthermore, it seems that users will also have a series of Unity-authored games available for them at launch, with more titles to land before the end of the year.
