South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has finally revealed the launch date for its upcoming Galaxy Note 4, namely September 3, just as some of the previous reports on the matter suggested.

The company has announced plans to hold an UNPACKED event at IFA 2014 in Berlin on that day, and the aforementioned Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be the star of the show.

Apparently, the company is also planning the unveiling of some more wearable products on that day, but the next member of the Galaxy Note family should be the most important announcement at the event.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new handset is expected to arrive on shelves with a 5.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, the mobile phone is said to arrive on shelves in two flavors, one powered by an Exynos 5433 processor, while the other featuring a Snapdragon 805 CPU.

The specs list of this device is also said to include 3GB of RAM, along with 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, and Google’s Android 4.4.4 KitKat platform loaded on top right from the start.

Additionally, the yet unannounced Galaxy Note 4 should sport a 16-megapixel camera on the back, with a Sony IMX240 sensor and optical image stabilization, as SamMobile notes. More on the phone should emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
