Samsung’s Stratosphere series of Android smartphones is about to expand with a new device. For the time being, there are two Stratosphere handsets available in the United States via Verizon Wireless, the SCH-I405 and SCH-I415.

However, it looks like another Stratosphere handset is on its way to Verizon’s airways. The folks over at AndroidAuthority have just spotted an unannounced Samsung SCH-I425 at GLBenchmark.

The smartphone is codenamed Godiva and has been confirmed to arrive at Verizon Wireless in the coming weeks.

The device is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system and packs a 1.4 GHz processor, along with an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit. It also sports an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display of unknown size.

The phone is likely to go on sale as Samsung Stratosphere III and will probably come packed with a full QWERTY keyboard, though the latter has yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
