14 DAY TRIAL // Although Samsung promised to deliver an Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy Tab 7.7 in July/August, we did not expect its release so early.
According to SammyHub, an Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update is now available for download for Galaxy Tab 7.7 GT-P6800. It appears that the update is only available via Samsung Kies desktop software.
So far, users living in Austria have reported the update is now available for download, but other countries will get it soon. The new firmware is made for Open Austria and it was built on June 21.
Word is that only the 3G version can now be upgraded to Android 4.0.4 ICS, but the Wi-Fi only model should follow by the end of the month. No other details are available for the moment, but stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
