14 DAY TRIAL // It looks like Samsung plans to replace the Galaxy Young with a new budget-friendly smartphone powered by a newer Android platform.
According to SamMobile, the South Korean handset maker will soon introduce the Samsung Galaxy Star, which is expected to arrive in stores in week 15.
The Galaxy Star (GT-S5282) will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and will be equipped with a 3-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen display and a 2-megapixel rear photo snapper.
Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy Star is said to pack 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as A-GPS and 1,200 mAh battery.
No word on pricing options, but we expect Samsung to showcase the Galaxy Star at Mobile World Congress 2013 trade fair, later this month.
