South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has announced the immediate availability of its GALAXY Note 8.0 on Canadian soil, making it available through retailers such as Best Buy, Future Shop, and Staples.

Packing an 8.0-inch TFT screen capable of delivering a WXGA (1280 x 800 pixel) resolution and a 1.6GHz quad-core processor inside, the tablet PC can offer an appealing experience while on the go, especially since it also sports voice calling capabilities. The tablet PC runs under Google’s Android Jelly Bean platform, sports 2GB of RAM inside, a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for making video calls, and 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, while being powered by a 4600 mAh battery.

“We are very excited that Canadians can now experience the Samsung GALAXY Note 8.0 – the perfect tool for multi-tasking on the go,” said Paul Brannen, vice president, Enterprise Business Group, Samsung Canada.
