Unveiled last week, Samsung Galaxy Xcover has just been confirmed by the South Korean company for a March release in the UK.

The handset maker did not offer any details on the phone’s pricing options, but the Galaxy Xcover 2 is now up for pre-order in the UK for no less than £270 / €315 / $425 off contract.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly operating system out of the box. On the inside, the smartphone packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be further enhanced up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The phone is dust-proof, sand-proof and water-resistant to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes (IP67 certified).

Its 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display features scratch-resistant glass and supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
