Unveiled earlier this year, Samsung Galaxy SL has finally received its Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread upgrade in India.

Although the upgrade has yet to be rolled out in all regions, it appears that Samsung pushes the Gingerbread update in waves, so those who checked and didn't find it yet should check back later.

As expected, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread for Galaxy SL is available via Samsung Kies desktop software.

Even though Galaxy SL owner can flash the update with Odin, it is recommended to use Samsung's Kies application, which is much safer and keeps all apps and data from the phone.

The software update is quite big, about 200-300 MB, so make sure you have a good broadband connection otherwise it's gonna take a while to download it.

As soon as the installation process is complete, the Galaxy SL will reboot itself, after which you will be able to use the phone again.
