Samsung kicked off the rollout of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy Tab 8.9 earlier today.

We’ve already reported on the AT&T version that can now be updated and it looks like the upgrade is available in India as well.

The folks over at AndroidOS report that Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300 owners have already started to receive the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.

Keep in mind that the update is exclusively available via Samsung Kies desktop software, so you might want to connect the table to a PC/Mac in order to be able to upgrade.

The update bumps the tablet’s software to version Android 4.0.4 and brings lots of improvements, bug fixes and new features, including better Notifications, UI changes and improved Widgets. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
