Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers is expected to add to its lineup in the near future a new device that would connect to its LTE network, namely the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.

The LTE-enabled tablet PC is currently available in the country on the airwaves of Bell and TELUS, and is expected to enjoy expanded availability in the near future.

No specific info on when that might happen has emerged so far, but it should not be too long before an official announcement is made. Dummy units have already started to arrive in stores, it seems. Rumor has it that it would go for $650 outright at Rogers.

The specs list of this device remains unchanged. It packs a 8.9-inch display (1280×800) and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core application processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM.

Moreover, the tablet features 16GB of internal storage, a 3MP photo snapper on the back and a 2MP camera on the front, as well as Google’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.
