South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics announced recently the release of a new tablet PC that runs under Google's Android platform, namely the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, and the device has already received the necessary approvals from the FCC.

The 16GB WiFi model of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus has received the blessings from the FCC, but other flavors should follow suit soon.

The new tablet PC was unveiled only several weeks ago, with the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS on board, and with a dual-core CPU inside. It sports the same 7-inch screen as the original.

The Android device was already spotted on various retailer websites, and pricing for both the 16GB WiFi flavor, and for the 32GB model was unveiled. Unfortunately, no specific info on when the device might hit shelves has emerged for the time being.
