We reported earlier today that Samsung plans to upgrade all its Galaxy Tab 2 devices to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system by the end of September.

However, these tablets should first receive the promised Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, which is in the works for quite some time now.

While Verizon’s Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1 already received this update, other US-based carriers have yet to offer their customers the option to upgrade their tablets.

Today, the folks over at SamMobile have learned the highly-anticipated Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is now available at T-Mobile USA.

Users should be notified on the update OTA (over the air), or they can download and install it via Samsung Kies desktop software. We don’t have any official confirmations yet, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
