There's no doubt that Samsung plans to launch a rugged version of its current flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6. However, we don't have any information on when exactly that will happen.

We do know that Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be launched in the United States and that for a limited time it will be available exclusively through AT&T.

Previous rumors pointed to an initial release at AT&T and the information has just been confirmed by a new report claiming the Galaxy S6 Active has been spotted in AT&T's inventory list.

Apart from that there are no new details on the upcoming rugged smartphone, but for those who haven't followed our previous report, here are some of the rumored specs of the Galaxy S6 Active.

First of all, the smartphone will be equipped with the same powerful Exynos 7420 chipset and gorgeous 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display.

The Galaxy S6 Active will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It will come packed with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and maybe microSD card slot for memory expansion.

We also know that it will boast the same 16-megapixel camera on the back and 5-megapixel secondary photo snapper in the front, just like the standard Galaxy S6 model.

Beside the fact that it's water- and dust-resistant, the Galaxy S6 Active will also come with a much larger 3,500 mAh battery.
