Although Galaxy S4, the latest Android-based flagship smartphone from South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung, is only a few months old, reports on its successor have already started to emerge.

According to a recent article on Android Geeks, Samsung is finally considering the adoption of a metal casing for its high-end smartphones, and the next Android flagship, supposedly called Galaxy S5, will be the first to feature it.

At the moment, the South Korean vendor uses plastic for the outer cases of its handsets, something that will change in the next design philosophy that the company is said to plan on adopting.

For the time being, however, this is merely a rumor, and it should be taken with a grain of salt. However, we’ll keep an eye out for more info on the matter, so stay tuned.
