Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has provided some info on the performance of its latest Android-based flagship devices out there, including the Galaxy S4.

According to the company, over 40 million Galaxy S4 units have been sold in the first 180 days of availability of the device.

Samsung’s JK Shin also unveiled that Galaxy S4 moved 20 million units in the first two months of availability, and that it reached 30 million sold units after four months.

As TechnosAmigos notes, the company has managed to sell only 38 million Galaxy Note devices since the initial launch, which makes Galaxy S4’s milestone even more impressive. The handset vendor should manage to push out over 50 million units of this device within 9 months of availability.

Recently, the phone was said to have seen a decrease in sales, though it seems that this was mainly due to the high shipments level registered in the beginning.
