Sprint and Samsung have just started to push a maintenance update for Galaxy S4 mini. The smartphone has already been confirmed to receive an Android 4.4 KitKat update in the United States, but Samsung has not provided an exact release date yet.

Sprint customers who own the Galaxy S4 mini are probably expecting KitKat since the Galaxy Note 3 has already started to receive the update, but this is not it.

The carrier has already published the official changelog of software update JDQ39.L520VPUANA7, which is now being pushed OTA (over the air) to Galaxy S4 mini devices.

According to this changelog, the update should enable Galaxy Gear support and brings Samsung KNOX secure environment compatibility. In addition, it should add voice over Wi-Fi feature, along with some bug fixes that haven't been detailed.
