Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone on the network of mobile phone carrier Verizon can now download and install a new software update for their devices, namely version VRUDMI1.

The new firmware release is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the same as software version VRUAME7 was before it.

Apparently, the update is available both over-the-air and via a computer, as long as it has Verizon’s Software Upgrade Assistant installed on it.

As Droid-life notes, the new software release will most probably provide users with various small fixes and enhancements for their devices, given that it keeps the OS version unchanged.

Verizon hasn’t provided specific release notes for the update as of now, but it is expected to publish them soon, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
