Yesterday, Samsung officially took the wraps off the Galaxy S4 Active, a ruggedized, dust and waterproof flavor of the Galaxy S 4, yet it did not provide specific info on when the smartphone might arrive on shelves.

According to a recent report from SamMobile, however, it seems that users in the UK will be able to purchase the new device starting with July 1, yet no info on pricing has been provided.

The Galaxy S4 Active arrives on shelves with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor inside, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The smartphone also packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of shooting photos even underwater, as well as with a front camera for making video calls. The new device runs under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
