Good news for AT&T customers who own the Galaxy S4 Active, as the carrier has just started the rollout of the long-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the smartphone.

The new update brings almost the same features included in the Galaxy S4 version, so expect to receive Samsung Galaxy Gear compatibility, along with lots of performance improvements and tweaks.

Aside from bringing the phone's software to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the latest update also contains some bloatware dubbed AT&T Signature Experience, which includes apps and services such as: Kindle, Lookout, City ID, Password Keeper, Games and AT&T Mobile Protection.

Keep in mind that the update is about 720MB in size, so it's recommended to download it via Wi-Fi connectivity. In fact, AT&T confirms that Android 4.3 for Galaxy S4 Active is only available for download over Wi-Fi.
