South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has been long rumored to plan the launch of its upcoming Galaxy S IV smartphone with a 13-megapixel photo snapper packed on the back, and some more proof of that is now available.

A series of camera samples allegedly coming from Galaxy S IV GT-I9500 have been spotted online, featuring a resolution of 4128 x 2322 pixels, or 9.6 megapixels.

However, according to SamMobile, these high-resolution images prove that Galaxy S IV will sport the rumored 13MP camera on the back. The news site also notes that this might be a Sony Exmor RS camera sensor, which has already been included in Xperia Z.

Providing that these rumors pan out, we should see HDR capabilities packed inside Galaxy S IV as well. A Samsung “Orb” feature is also expected, enabling the shooting of 360-degree panorama-mode photos.
