South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has reportedly started to deliver the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system to its Galaxy S II users in Germany, and it should become available to all users in the next days.

The update can be downloaded through the Samsung Kies desktop application, and is said to take up to an hour to install.

Among the interesting changes that the new update will bring to the device, allaboutsamsung.de notes a reduction of the internal memory from 12GB to 11GB, so as to make some more room for the new operating system.

Furthermore, it seems that the device will run more smoothly after the update, given Google’s Project Butter that has been included in Jelly Bean. New Google services such as Google Now will also be available for users, along with a series of camera enhancements and the like.
