Users in Australia interested in the purchase of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet PC can now reserve it, as the South Korean mobile phone maker has just put the slate on pre-order in the country.

The company has announced the upcoming availability of the Android-based device for the second week of April, and also said that it could be reserved in-store today, with a price tag of AUD $459 (USD $475 / 367 Euro) attached to it.

The tablet arrives in the country only with Wi-Fi connectivity packed inside, but a 4G-enabled flavor (with voice calling capabilities) is expected to become available as well sometime in May, Ausdroid notes.

The pre-order period for Galaxy Note 8.0 kicked off along with the launch of a new Melbourne Experience store from Samsung (in the Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong).
