Galaxy Note 3, the latest Android-based smartphone from Samsung Electronics, is expected to become available for purchase at Sprint in the United States on October 2.

The mobile phone is already listed on the wireless carrier’s website as “coming soon,” yet no official availability date has been provided as of now.

However, a recent report from IBTimes claims that the device will land on the operator’s network on the second day of the next month.

As SamMobile notes, chances are that the rumor will pan out, especially considering the fact that AT&T and T-Mobile have already confirmed their intention to release it on October 1 and October 2, respectively.

One way or the other, Sprint should officially announce plans on the 5.7-inch Android-based smartphone soon, so keep an eye on this space to learn more on the matter.
