Canadian carrier Videotron has finally kicked off the deployment of the long-awaited Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

According to MobileSyrup, the update is available for download OTA (over the air), in stages, so not all Galaxy Nexus owners might receive it at the same time.

Those who have yet to be notified on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean for their devices can manually check for its availability by going to Settings / About device / Software update / Update.

This update improves the speed of the previous version of Android and adds new features, such as Photo Sphere, Gesture Typing keyboard, Google Now with new cards, TalkBack screen reader, HDR mode for the camera, a brand new photo editor and more.

New visual changes and lots of other tweaks have also been included in this update, so we recommend Galaxy Nexus owners to update as soon as possible.
