Wireless carrier MetroPCS is expected to add a new Samsung smartphone to its offering in the not too distant future, namely the large Galaxy Mega 6.3.

A leaked photo with the mobile phone featuring MetroPCS’ branding has leaked online over at TmoNews, though no official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now.

According to the news site, however, the wireless carrier would be ready to have the smartphone on shelves before the end of this year, most probably in time for the holiday season, so expect an announcement soon.

Galaxy Mega 6.3 will hit shelves with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor inside, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB or 16GB of internal memory, with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Furthermore, the mobile phone will arrive on the market with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.9MP front camera, and a 3200mAh battery. The smartphone runs under Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
