Samsung has confirmed that it will offer the long-awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for lots of Galaxy mid-range smartphones, but it did not offer an exact release date for them.

Well, it looks like some Samsung Galaxy owners may be in luck, as the folks over at SamMobile got their hands on an internal document, which confirms when some of these updates will be available for download.

First of all, one of the most popular mid-range Android smartphones launched by Samsung, the Galaxy Grand 2, is slated for an Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade in June.

The same goes for two slightly older smartphones, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3, which are now tagged with the “final testing” status. Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S4 Mini LTE should receive the update in June as well.

On a side note, the internal document leaked online confirms that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo is now pending the release of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, which should be available by the end of this month.

As a matter fact, we have already reported that Samsung has kicked off the rollout of KitKat for Galaxy Note 3 Neo in South Korea, so it’s a matter of days before it gets release globally.
