A new smartphone in Samsung’s popular Galaxy lineup is now official in Taiwan, namely the Galaxy Core Plus, a successor to the already available Galaxy Core.

The new smartphone lands on the market with a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, while featuring only 768MB of RAM.

Galaxy Core Plus also sports 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and a 5-megapixel camera on the back.

At the same time, the phone is powered by an 1800mAh battery, while running under the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

At the moment, the new Galaxy Core Plus is listed on Samsung Taiwan’s website with a price tag of 7,990 TWD ($270 / €200) attached to it. No info on the phone’s arrival in other markets around the world has been provided as of now.
