We already have “confirmation” from the rumor mill that Samsung's Galaxy A series will get Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade this year.

Today, UK-based carrier Three confirmed that Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy A3 would be rolled out next month. However, we already know that Samsung has begun testing the update this month since Android 5.0 Lollipop for Galaxy A3 was released in Russia.

According to YouMobile, the other two Galaxy A series smartphones, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will receive the same Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in June.

Unfortunately, the update might not be available to all Galaxy A5 and A7 devices out there. Samsung Gulf stated that Lollipop would not arrive on the Galaxy A series, so there's a high chance that the update will not be available in the Middle East at all.

It remains to be seen where exactly Samsung decides to provide Galaxy A5 and A7 owners with the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop updates.

One thing we know for sure, the update will definitely be available in most European countries where the Galaxy A series smartphones have been released. We will keep an eye out for any additional details, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
