It is now available via all major retailers across the country

Samsung Galaxy Young was made official in early February and was showcased a few weeks later at Mobile World Congress 2013.

Two months after its official reveal, the Galaxy Young has finally arrived in India. According to AndroidOS, the smartphone is now available for purchase from most retailers across the country for only Rs 8,290 ($150/€115) outright.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a 1GHz single-core processor.

Samsung Galaxy Young embeds 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

It also sports a 3.27-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with video recording.

Other highlights of the phone include: HSDPA and HSUPA support, FM radio with RDS, FM recording and 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery.
