It looks like Samsung does not want to give up the Galaxy Xcover family, even though the smartphones in the series didn’t prove too popular among Android fans.

According to SamMobile, Samsung plans to announce a new smartphone in the Xcover series, dubbed GT-S7710.

The Xcover 2 will ship with Android 4.1 or 4.2 out of the box and it will be available in Titan Gray and Black/Red colors.

No word on the phone’s processor and amount of RAM, but the Xcover 2 is said to sport a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel rear camera.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 will also come with 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), 1700-mAh Li-Ion battery and VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
