Samsung has just reduced the price of its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 3G tablet in India. No word on the reasons behind the company’s decision, but Android fans in India can now grab the slate much cheaper.

The folks over at AndroidOS report that the tablet is now available for purchase at Saholic for only Rs 25,900, about $480 or €365.

For those unaware, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.2 3G was previously priced at Rs 31,990 ($590/€450), a lot more than the current price.

The tablet ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, but a Jelly Bean update is currently rolling out globally.

Other highlights of the slate include: 1 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM, 10.1-inch PLS capacitive touchscreen display and dual cameras (3-megapixel rear photo snapper and VGA front-facing camera).
