Samsung has been long said to plan the release of a tougher version of the Galaxy S5 flagship device, in the form of GALAXY S5 Active, and some more info on the device is now available.

The mobile phone has emerged online at the Bluetooth SIG en route to Sprint, with model number SM-G860P attached, and should arrive in the United States alongside SM-G870A, the AT&T variant that was spotted online before, as SammyToday notes.

However, it seems that users in other markets out there will also be able to enjoy its capabilities, as the device was spotted in a User Agent Profile with model SM-G850F attached, supposedly headed for Europe (this would be the international variant of the device).

According to SammyToday, the handset is set to make an official appearance on shelves in countries such as Poland, Ireland, Deutschland, United Kingdom, Russia, France, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, Romania, Slovenia, Portugal, Netherlands, Greece, Croatia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria and Albania.

Said UAProf also confirms the device with a full HD screen and with Android 4.4.2 KitKat loaded on top. Unfortunately, no specific info on when the phone might be released has been provided as of now, but such details could arrive in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned to learn the news.
