Samsung teased “something new” for CES 2013 a few days ago and most fans thought the South Korean company plans to unveil its Galaxy S IV earlier than usual.

However, the folks at CNET have been able to confirm with sources close to the matter that Samsung would focus instead on a series of electronic products, such as TVs.

The company is said to unveil its new mobile phones at a separate media event after the trade fair.

This makes much more sense especially that Samsung always launches its next Galaxy S smartphone in Barcelona, at the Mobile World Congress.

MWC 2013 is set to take place between 25 and 28 February, giving Samsung plenty of time to finish its work on the Galaxy S IV.

Hopefully, the device will go on sale a few weeks after its official launch. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
