The eight-core version might be aimed at markets without LTE services

Bad news for Samsung fans that were expecting the 8-core version of Galaxy S 4 to arrive in the UK, as the South Korean company has just confirmed that will not be the case.

According to Omio blog site, the UK version of Samsung Galaxy S 4 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.9 GHz.

“Samsung Galaxy S4 is equipped with a 1.9GHz Quad-core AP or a 1.6GHz Octa-core AP. The selection of AP varies by markets. In the UK, the Galaxy S4 will be available as a 4G device with a 1.9GHz Quad Core Processor.”

The other Galaxy S 4 variant will be equipped with an Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset that packs two quad-core processors clocked at 1.6GHz and 1.2GHz, respectively. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
