Samsung pushed a small update to Galaxy S 4 units in North America earlier this week and now it looks like a similar update is available in Europe.

The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S 4 has just received a new firmware update, which maintains the phone’s software to version Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and replaces the baseband.

The update is 74MB in size and brings “improved stability.” It will require reboot, but no backups are necessary, as the phone’s settings and all personal info will remain untouched after the update.

The smartphone’s baseband has been updated to version I9505XXUAME2, while the build number is now JDQ39.I9505XXUAME2.

We suspect this is the same update that was pushed in North America about two weeks ago, but we can’t confirm it yet.
