Bad news for WIND Mobile and Mobilicity customers who are anxious to purchase Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S 4, as both Canadian carriers have announced delays of their shipments.

According to MobileSyrup, Mobilicity has confirmed earlier this week that “shipments have been temporarily delayed and we expect it to arrive by early next week.”

Today, WIND Mobile has informed its customers that “due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a delay with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S 4.”

The smartphone should have been officially released at some Canadian carriers on May 3, but according to the latest hearsay, Samsung Galaxy S 4 won’t be available until May 10.

The situation doesn’t come as a total surprise, as Samsung announced several days ago that “due to overwhelming global demand of Samsung GALAXY S4, the initial supply may be limited. We expect to fulfill inventory to meet demands in the coming weeks.” Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
