Samsung and TELUS have teamed up to bring the affordable Galaxy Discover in Canada. The smartphone is only available on prepaid for $100/€80.

The Galaxy Discover ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and HSDPA (7.2Mbps) support. Check it out here.

The entry-level handset is equipped with an 800 MHz single-core processor and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

It sports a decent 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and a 3-megapixel rear camera.

The phone’s 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 440 hours of standby time or up to 7.3 hours of talk time.

For the time being, it’s unclear whether the Galaxy Discover will be available from other carrier as well, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
