A critical exploit, which affects all Samsung devices that include an Exynos chipset, was discovered last month and Samsung promised a software update that would fix the issue.
T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 was among the first affected devices that received the promised update a few days ago and now Sprint is offering its customers the same treatment, but for Samsung Epic 4G Touch.
Aside from addressing the Exynos chipset issue, software update FL24 adds Sprint Connections Optimizer and other security improvements.
Given the fact that its release is staggered so as not to overload the update server, not all Samsung Epic 4G Touch owners will receive it at the same time.
According to Sprint, FL24 is pushed OTA (over the air), in stages, to Epic 4G Touch units over a 30-day period.
