The Galaxy S II, one of the most popular Android phones launched by Samsung, has been upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich a long time ago.

Unfortunately, Sprint was among the last carriers to offer the long-awaited update to its customers. Known as Samsung Epic 4G Touch, the device received an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in late July.

However, the folks over at XDA Developers have been working hard on a Jelly Bean port for the Epic 4G Touch. Thankfully, their work was successful and an alpha build is now available for download.

The following known issues still plague this unofficial Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM: LOS (this is kernel related and I am still trying to track it down), Random screen wakes, camcorder effects cause FC. For more details on this port head over to the original thread.
